The Millers produced a ruthless and free‑flowing display to sweep aside Haughmond in a dominant 8–0 victory, showcasing their attacking ability, creativity and clinical finishing from start to finish.
The tone was set early, and once the Millers found their opener, they never looked back, Tom Delamere in the Haughmond goal producing several fine saves, before finally being beaten on 14 minutes, and it was a moment of brilliance. Keenan Switzer turned sharply in midfield before spotting the goalkeeper off his line and lifting an audacious 45‑yard chip into the net. Maysan Bernarbia produced a fine finish from a difficult angle to double The Millers lead on 22 minutes, before he added his second ten minutes later, taking down a Luke Roscoe pass and firing past Delamere. Bernarbia completed his hat-trick on 41 minutes, picking up the ball wide on the left, cutting inside and finishing well. There was still time for a fifth goal before the interval. Darius Photiou finishing nicely following a goalmouth scramble.
The Millers introduced fresh legs after the break, including the returning Will Shawcross, but the momentum remained firmly with the hosts who looked dangerous every time they went forward. The second half belonged to Millen Brown in particular, who delivered an explosive cameo to complete a hat‑trick inside 20 minutes. His movement, skill, pace and finishing proved too much for the tiring Haughmond defence.
This was almost the complete performance by Chris Baguley's side, showcasing the attacking prowess and confidence flowing through the squad. With standout performances across the pitch, particularly from hat‑trick heroes Benarbia and Brown, The Millers controlled the match from the opening whistle and recorded a resounding victory.
