The Millers showed grit and determination to earn a hard-fought point against Cammell Laird in a tense encounter at Church Lane.
The visitors took the lead in the 34th minute when Joel Whalley headed home from close range after a well-worked move down the right. Despite the setback, the Millers continued to battle, with chances being created, but the equaliser remained elusive.
The second half saw New Mills push forward with greater urgency, though they were dealt a blow five minutes from time when they were reduced to ten men following the dismissal of Keenan Switzer.
Just when it looked like The Millers would leave empty-handed, Millen Brown stepped up in injury time to fire home a dramatic equaliser, sending the home crowd into celebration and securing a deserved point.
A spirited finish from Chris Baguley's side, who showed character in adversity.
