The Millers were left frustrated after a dominant first-half performance failed to yield more than a single goal, as Cheadle Heath Nomads snatched a dramatic late equaliser to earn a point.

The hosts started brightly and took the lead in the 5th minute through Darius Photiou, The Millers skipper volleying home after Nomads failed to clear a corner. The Millers controlled possession and created several chances, but were unable to extend their lead before the break.

The second half saw a more balanced contest, with Cheadle Heath Nomads growing into the game, although it was The Millers who looked the more likely to score.

In the closing stages of the game, Cheadle Heath Nomads found their breakthrough, punishing The Millers for their missed opportunities as Alex May prodded home to seal a 1–1 draw.
