After a mid-table finish last season in the North West Counties Football League, The Millers are looking to push higher this year. Their pre-season has included a mix of local derbies and fitness-building fixtures. Last Saturday Chris Baguley's side produced a very promising performance against Glossop North End, before facing Bacup Borough in another testing fixture in midweek. With the season fast approaching Baguley and his staff will be looking to use these games to finalise their squad for the campaign ahead.

Nelson FC, one of the oldest clubs in Lancashire, will also be using this fixture to test new tactics and give valuable minutes to players. With the season now just a fortnight away players will be looking to prove their worth to their respective Managers, so the game should be an intriguing contest.
