We look back through the Church Lane archives

On 22 November 2003 The Millers travelled to face Atherton Town in the Premier Division of the Manchester League, Tony Rigby's side having gone five games without a win, and returned to Church Lane with all three points. Chris Lees, Stephen 'Paddy' Littler and David Bailey scored the goals that secured all three points for Rigby's men. The line up that day was;

22 November 2008 saw the two of the top sides in the North West Counties League meet at Church Lane as Newcastle Town visited and went home with a single goal win. The Millers missed out on promotion that season, losing the final 'Winner Takes All' game at AFC Fylde at the end of the campaign. The Millers lined up against Newcastle Town;

22 November 2010 and Ally Pickering's side were well on their way to winning the North West Counties Premier Division and promotion to the Evo-Stick League, and they visited a Flixton side managed by Lloyd Morrison with the leagues top scorer Astley Mulholland in their ranks. The Millers had comprehensively defeated their opponents by four goals to one at Church Lane just a fortnight earlier, and the scoreline was exactly the same on this occasion, Daniel Douglas-Pringle, Adam Mather, Chris Hirst and Luke Horrocks netting for The Millers. The line up on that day was;
