New Mills Football Club are delighted to confirm the signing of Josh Abbott, the attacking midfielder arriving at Church Lane having spent the last few seasons with Chadderton where he was a member of the squad that won promotion to the North West Counties Football League Premier Division.

The Millers boss Chris Baguley spoke of his new signing “It was a case of third time lucky with Josh, I have tried to sign him a couple of times before and didn’t manage to get him. This time we were able to and I’m really pleased. Josh is a player who will bring the same attributes to the team that we had from Luke Merrill, he is really good on the ball and will ensure that we retain possession, he can hold onto it when in tight areas and with the attacking options we have around him it is an exciting signing”
