The Millers are back in action after 3 weeks of games being called off. Home games against Harrogate Railway Athletic and Lancaster have fallen foul of the weather whilst the away game at Spennymoor was off due to the host’s involvement in the FA Trophy.
New Mills make the trip across Derbyshire to take on Midlands League side Heanor Town in the Derbyshire FA Challenge Cup 3rd Round. Heanor sit 2nd in their league, just 6 points behind league leaders Hereford. In their previous match they drew 2-2 away at Loughborough University in league action.
Last season New Mills bowed out of the competition at this stage when Glossop North End, eventual semi-finalists, ran out 4-2 winners at Church Lane. Whilst Heanor scraped past Barrowash Victoria on penalties in Round 2 before being knocked out by Ilkeston in the 3rd round.
