New management team at Church Lane

We’re delighted to confirm former New Mills players Nathan Neequaye and Sam Scott as Joint First Team Managers ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Nathan joined the club as First Team Coach last season and played a key role in helping the Millers secure a play-off finish. He now steps into a new leadership role alongside Sam as we continue building towards the new campaign.

Nathan brings with him a strong coaching background, including a successful spell at Tintwistle Athletic where he achieved promotion, lifted the League Cup and secured back-to-back Derbyshire County Cup North titles. He also holds a UEFA B Licence.

Nathan would also like to place on record his thanks to previous colleagues Chris, Mark, Jamie and Az for their support, guidance and experience in helping him take this next step.

Sam is also no stranger to non-league football or to New Mills FC, having previously represented the club during his playing career before moving into management. Alongside his experience in the non-league game, Sam has also enjoyed success in Sunday league football, bringing valuable knowledge and leadership both on and off the pitch as he works alongside Nathan in leading the Millers into the new season.

Joining Nathan and Sam in the new management team will be:

Jay Sweeney – Assistant Manager
Luke Chattington – First Team Coach

We’re excited about the experience, energy and ambition this group brings as we look ahead to the future at Church Lane.

A detailed introduction to all members of the new management team will be included in the first matchday programme of the new season, but Nathan and Sam would like to add that they are both looking forward to the challenge ahead and getting started at Church Lane.

Please join us in welcoming Nathan, Sam, Jay and Luke to their new roles, and we wish them all the very best for the season ahead.

Up The Millers.
