Northern Irish midfielder Darren McKnight has put pen to paper with The Millers for the 2022/23 season, returning to the club for a fourth season.

McKnight initially signed for the club in the 2019/20 season before leaving Church Lane for a brief spell with Radcliffe FC. He returned in the summer of 2020 and appeared in every game of the Covid hit season, before having a massive impact on the 2021/22 season. Although The Millers ultimately missed out on promotion, losing the play off final to Isle of Man, McKnight enjoyed a successful season on a personal level making 40 appearances, scoring 17 times, registering 26 assists and collecting 8 Man of the Match awards.

Overall McKnight has made 61 appearances for the club, scoring 21 goals.
